The Professional Business Women's Association (PBWA) was founded in 1994 by 13 women in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. PBWA is an independent organization for women professionals, women business owners, women who work in business and aspiring professional or business women.
A five-member Management Council is elected yearly by the membership to address organizational issues. As a volunteer organization, PBWA committees carry out all the organization's planning and programming.
