I have been told by former clients that the most important aspects that I bring to the table is the knowledge that comes with having grown up in this area, my experiences from building custom homes and the housing industry in general, along with my knowledge of real estate marketing in all media, from my former careers, and attention to small details to get my contracts to closing.

A member of the National Association of Realtors and local and state associations.  Recognized as a member of the Top Producers Club and the Hall of Fame.  I have earned the GRI, ABR, cRFA and SFR designations for additional education in specialized fields of real estate.

Denise Cottingham • Treasurer

On August 1, 2019 I retired from 25 years of Public School Finance, and 20 years of Banking to pursue an adventure. My husband Ron and I had purchased a 30 ft travel trailer and planned on visiting all 50 states and all of the National Parks before we decided where to settle. Two years later and a year and a half into the COVID mess we settled in Inwood WV. We love it here and are fairly close to 2 of our 5 children. As part of the settle in process I met Dr. Catherine-Silver Riddell (I needed a chiropractor). Before you know it I’m working for her 1+ days a week as the QuickBooks expert. So, I guess I’m just partially retired and loving life!

Connie Cook-Graham • Secretary

Connie is a retired Loudoun County Public School teacher. She taught Home Economics in LCPS for 33 years. After retirement, she worked as a long term LCPS substitute for nearly 14 years and as a Berkeley County long-term substitute since moving to Hedgesville in 2020.  She twice received the LCPS’s Substitute of the Year Award. In addition to her teaching career, Connie has worked in the hospitality business as a part-time banquet server at the world-renowned Lansdowne Conference Resort in Loudoun and as the Event Coordinator for Michael’s in Leesburg. She was also the owner of An Elegant Affair, a small catering company which catered to close friends and provided an opportunity for fellow teachers to make some additional money. Connie is an organizer and spent 13 years planning and organizing the National Capital Chapter of Safari Club International Annual Banquet and fundraising for over 300 people.

She and husband Wayne moved to Berkeley County in October of 2020 to be closer to their two sons, John and Preston. Shortly after moving Connie had the pleasure of meeting PBWA member Jo Mileo. She and Jo hit it off immediately as both Vince (Jo’s hubby) and Wayne are avid gun enthusiasts and hunters. She and Wayne love traveling and have hunted in South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Argentina and salmon fished in Alaska. In addition to hunting adventures, they spend many hours on the road at granddaughter, Gracelyn’s Cheerleading competitions and grandson, Gunner’s Little League and Travel Baseball games. They are also supporters of the Hedgesville Volunteer Fire Company where son John is a professional fire fighter.

Though retired, Connie still actively supports the activities of both her sons and grandchildren. She is called upon by son John, for advice and sometimes assistance with his catering business, Backstep BBQ and Sauces. Always the helpful mom and Granny, she is always available to pick up the grands, sew something, or bake cookies for fundraising events for both cheerleading and baseball. If not at home, off hunting somewhere, or visiting her family in the Pittsburgh area she is probably at a grand’s events. Her philosophy is “Your kids and grands will never remember if your house is dirty, but they will remember if you are in the stands”.

Connie and husband, Wayne are the proud parents of 2 sons, 4 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
